What is the future of content?
How we live, how we market; both have changed many times over as technology has improved. There is more content online than ever – and even more people viewing it. According to Statista, the daily usage of social media has steadily been rising each year – and will continue to do so in the future.
Even as we speak, a large portion of your employees are using social media. They tweet and share their everyday experiences regularly. They are, by far, the richest fountain of everyday marketing you can tap into. If you are already providing them a comfortable and energizing working environment, and they are passionate about what they are doing, they will be more than happy to share their everyday work achievements with their friends, family, colleagues and followers. Furthermore, a good social media post, shared by the right person, can reach thousands of people, even millions. It is that simple – Or is it?
We have noticed that the easiest way to get your staff involved in marketing your brand is simple; have content your employees are proud to share. With the right materials everything is simpler: sharing is simpler, encouraging your staff to share is simpler and the materials you share are more effective to their targeted audience. Allow your employees the opportunity to share and engage with your images, your videos and your hotel information, and they will do most of the work for you. This is, by far, the easiest and cheapest way to spread the word about your brand.
How to take charge of your content
The key to activating your employees is by making content easily available, nice to look at, and most importantly, easy to share. Event Industry News recently published an article talking about the importance of visual materials in the context of event marketing:
“The lifespan of the visual content from an event is measured by taking an average lifespan of every single piece of content shared (a photo, a video clip, a gif, etc). The more your audience engages with your content, the bigger the lifespan and, therefore, the more valuable your content is. So the aim is to produce and share relevant content for your audience, so they can engage with it.”
This rings true with your brand content also. Let your employees engage and chatter online without making them work for the content they want to share. Definitely, do not expect them to spend additional time compiling materials from different sources, as this is time consuming and can just as easily backfire; the compiled content is unreliable, hard to authenticate, and your brand message gets diluted in the process. Have shareable, pre-compiled content, which does not have to be clumsily compiled from different sources, and you are already ahead of the game.
How you can use Visualizer to help your employees become brand ambassadors
A Visualizer presentation can help you take charge of what your staff is sharing now, and their voices will be more coherent and more flattering to your brand image in the long run. Encourage your employees to start tweeting and sharing Visualizer links, because it is simultaneously visual, allows localized sharing, and is already brand-packaged. With a Visualizer presentation you can easily:
- Share to a specific location of a panorama instantly with your phone or laptop.
- Bundle together the brand image, information, the still images and their WOW factor.
- Have a ‘download’-image button (See demo here) which allows the viewer to download a specific still image directly – lessening the myriad of messy and blurry screencaps out there in the web.
With these easy steps, you are all set!
