How to turn your employees into brand ambassadors

An average Hotel has a high number of staff, ranging from sales and marketing to cleaning staff and restaurant employees. These are the people who can make your content go viral by talking about you and by sharing your materials. How about if you could embrace your employees and utilize them as your ambassadors? If only you could provide them the freedom to spread the word about the many great facilities in your hotel? How we live, how we market; both have changed many times over as technology has improved. There is more content online than ever – and even more people viewing it. According to Statista, the daily usage of social media has steadily been rising each year – and will continue to do so in the future.

Even as we speak, a large portion of your employees are using social media. They tweet and share their everyday experiences regularly. They are, by far, the richest fountain of everyday marketing you can tap into. Allow your employees the opportunity to share and engage with your images, your videos and your hotel information, and they will do most of the work for you. This is, by far, the easiest and cheapest way to spread the word about your brand.

How to take charge of your content

The key to activating your employees is by making content easily available, nice to look at, and most importantly, easy to share. Event Industry News recently published an article talking about the importance of visual materials in the context of event marketing:

“The lifespan of the visual content from an event is measured by taking an average lifespan of every single piece of content shared (a photo, a video clip, a gif, etc).  This rings true with your brand content also. Let your employees engage and chatter online without making them work for the content they want to share.
